Nice - Best picture spots for selfies

Capturing your Nice holiday through a series of selfies is a great way to showcase the best moments of your trip. But what Nice backdrops are you looking for? And what will make your travel selfies stand-out?

Promenade des Anglais

The Promenade des Anglais runs for about five miles around the Bay of Angels in Nice. Loose time here, strolling along and enjoying various pit stops for cool refreshments and food. Or take a dip in the turquoise blue sea on the popular beach.

Old Town

Vieux Nice.jpg

Vieux Nice is the city’s most ancient quarter with its labyrinth of cobbled streets, narrow alleyways and authentic old time Nice all brought to life by a mixture of shops, bars, restaurants, flower markets and stalls in the Cours Saleya. Old Nice is where you’ll also find the Cathedrale de Sainte Reparate and plenty of places for a good travel selfie.

Vieux Nice is tightly packed with ochre-toned, sun-bleached pastel buildings, filled with locals chatting in the streets and colourful home-grown fresh produce on the market stalls. Get in amongst everything ‘Niçois’ and take some pictures to remember.

Nice Place Massena.jpg

New Town

Between the Old and New Town is Place Massena, a main square with several boulevards stretching off into the most modern parts of the city for great shopping and nightlife.

The square has a fountain symbolising Greek mythology and a seven-metre high statue of Apollo and historical buildings which are all great backdrops for digitally documenting your trip. In terms of modern art, there are also the seven statues representing the continents by Catalan artist Jaume Plensa. They look particularly great at night when illuminated.

Many Nice hotels are scattered in and around the marina/harbour area where some people even choose to stay on a luxury yacht during their trip. But, if you fancy staying on land there good choices all over.
